Taylor Cunningham Awarded the 2016 Plaxen Adler Muncy Civil Trial Advocacy Scholarship
Plaxen Adler Muncy, P.A. is very proud to announce that Taylor Cunningham is the 2016 recipient of the Plaxen Adler Muncy Civil Trial Advocacy Scholarship. Mr. Cunningham is currently a 2L student at the University of Minnesota Law School, and is expected to graduate in May, 2018. We awarded Mr. Cunningham his $2500 scholarship at the American Association for Justice convention in Los Angeles in July and we are honored to be able to help him in his pursuit of his career.
About Taylor Cunningham
Taylor Cunningham is an Oklahoma native, who graduated summa cum laude from Oklahoma State University before attending law school. His experiences outside of his classroom studies are varied and impressive.
In 2015, Taylor Cunningham accepted a clerkship with the Garrett Law Center. It was here that Mr. Cunningham was asked to research topics involving personal injury, employment discrimination and civil rights as part of his position. He later attended the American Association for Justice convention in Montreal. Bruce Plaxen regularly attends AAJ conventions as a representative of the Board of Governors from Maryland. Taylor also served as the 1L Representative for OutLaw and for the MN Justice Foundation, and during his time at school, became the President of the American Constitutional Society and a Member of the Litigation and Trial Advocacy Group. He is the recipient of the Dean’s Distinguished Scholarship and the Schroeder Scholarship. Consistent with our commitment to diversity and inclusion, Mr. Cunningham is a proud member of the American Association for Justice LGBT caucus.
His work at the Garrett Law Center and his attendance at the AAJ convention proved to us that Mr. Cunningham was passionate about this work. We truly believe Taylor Cunningham is the ideal recipient for this year’s scholarship, because of his dedication to civil trial advocacy and a fair civil justice system.
